About the Episcopal Pride Alliance
The Episcopal Pride Alliance is an LGBTQIA+ affirming Christian ministry of St. Wilfrid of York Episcopal Church in Huntington Beach, California.
EPA offers a safe, sacred, and joyful space where LGBTQIA+ people, their families, friends, and allies can experience unconditional welcome, belonging, and dignity. Through fellowship, learning, prayer, service, advocacy, the arts, and community partnerships, we seek to embody Christ’s inclusive grace within the Church and throughout the wider community.
Mission
Our mission is to create a safe, sacred, and joyful space for GBTQIA+ individuals, friends, families, and allies to gather in Christ’s love and grow in community. We commit ourselves to fostering belonging, advocating for justice, and uplifting voices historically marginalized within the Church and society.
Through fellowship, learning, prayer, and service, we seek to embody Christ’s inclusive grace within St. Wilfrid’s and throughout the wider community.
Vision
We envision a Christ-centered community where LGBTQIA+ people, their families, and allies are embraced with unconditional welcome, dignity, and belonging. Rooted in God’s love, we seek a world where every person is affirmed as a beloved child of God and where our shared life reflects Christ’s call to justice, compassion, and radical hospitality. be a spiritual home that nurtures hope, healing, and wholeness for all.

One Ministry, Many Initiatives
EPA is the ministry. Its initiatives are the ways the ministry carries out its mission.
Our lecture series, arts programming, community gatherings, Pride participation, worship, service, advocacy, and partnerships create different opportunities for people to connect, learn, participate, and contribute. As EPA grows, new initiatives may emerge in response to the needs, gifts, and ideas of the community.

EPA welcomes people who feel at home in the Church, people returning after time away, people who are uncertain about religion, and people who simply want to participate in a community committed to dignity and justice.
You do not need to be Episcopalian, a member of St. Wilfrid’s, or certain about what you believe in order to attend an event or connect with EPA.
